play day
2008 August 19
It’s a play day, a do-as- I-please day, a me-day. This is what I’ve been doing so far today.
I decided my little header banner needed some reworking. So the daisies are being re-worked.. I’ve made a start. They have little eyelets. Daisy. Day’s eye. Looking at me or me looking at them?
Last night I worked up a sample of the text, made lots of mistakes but liked the quirky angularity of this played-about-with font. It’s now been added to fenland…lurking down there in the reeds. This corner is coming on well.
And why the play day? It’s my birthday! An out-to-dinner-with-my-love day. Have a good day.

Happy Birthday to you! Have a wonderful evening with your beloved to round off your lovely playday. Lovely stitching, too.
happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to yooooouuuuu, happy birthday to you, he he
Love how the stitching is coming on
Happy Birthday dear Judith !!!! Looks like a wonderful day thus far with your me-time accomplishments. Enjoy the eve as well!
more birthday greetings coming from across the water. Had to enlarge the daisy picture so I could have a better look at that beautifully colored groundcloth. Hope dinner was scrumptious. Think you’ve done a lovely job with the lettering. Perfect thread choice that compliments the font so well.
Happy – happy birthday to you!! Have a wonderful dinner with your true love!
Happy Birthday! (while I was sleeping!) I hope you had a lovely time. The eyelet daisies are wonderful – a great addition to your banner. And the text has worked out wonderfully well I think – it ‘fits’ in the design nicely.
A late happy birthday – I am loving watching the stages of your fenland quilt.
happy birthday from another late arriver. am so enjoying watching fenland as it grows.
I didn’t know
