Pursuing the pathways of pleated silk saw a journey into a dark, dahlia red corner. The gold silk stitches are running past little patches of flowers and leaves, autumn gardens on either side, full of russet and mulberry colours. Autumn comes creeping.

That dahlia is exquisite… my favorite color. I love the effect of the ruffles… must remember this!
I definitely like those pleated parts – whether they are stairways or garden paths …
Ger-I’m glad you commented-am suddenly reminded of MC Escher, ascending and descending.
Marty-I love this colour dahlia too-and these are prize winning. I have the certificate tp prove it!
Now that your mention it I see Escher steps in this too.
Hi. Just a quick one to ask your permission to use one of your images on my upcomiing guest blogger spot. I mislaid your e-mail adress, if you e-mail me I will send you a link to the blog, Karen. I will credit the image correctly to you!
Oh my. this is so evocative. In the past few days I have felt/seen tremendous changes in my own garden and the larger landscape. It’s always interesting to feel those changes influencing stitching choices as well as dreams.
