whining and dining
I feel as if I have been swimming underwater holding my breath for a very long time and I’m not very good at either the swimming or the breath holding but I think I can nearly come up to the surface because lots is done but no wait lots still needs to be done because it’s nearly Christmas and…
I came up for air today, to say hello to you and to take another deep breath before I get back to work. I have been head down and working to get my City & Guilds files and samples up together so they can go in the post. Foolish perhaps, sending anything by post at this time of year, but I really need to get to this point and bare my creative soul to my tutor. I have lost the ability to be rational about my work so far, so I am anxious to get some indication from her about where I am.
Apart from sewing samples I have been making gifts-blurry tiny detail below of one of them and I will catch up with other images when the light improves and I catch my tail. I was hoping to finish the last kantha piece tonight whilst watching the last episode of the magnificent production of Little Dorrit on the BBC-but it’s the staff meal tonight, so I’m off out wining and dining.
I’ll catch up some blog reading soon-I have been deliberately offline-but I really want to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment. I can’t begin to tell you how much they mean to me and how lovely I think you all are. Right, deep breath and dive, dive, dive…..

looking forward to seeing the rest of your stitching, don’t work too hard, remember to enjoy what you do.
Goodness… would scuba gear help? ;0)
Take care of yourself, you sound a bit stressed!
enjoy your wining and dining! C&G sounds like way to much work for me. Im sure your tutor will be very pleased with your samples.
Don’t fret about Christmas – I’ll call tonight and see what I can bring/do to help xx
I know exactly how you feel! I can finally take a breath on friday at 1pm, can’t wait. It feels like forever since I had time to take a breath, take stock, make progress. Hopefully we can have a joint relaxation fortnight!!
