snow bird

I am feeling very sorry for myself today-I broke a crowned tooth on New Year’s Day and today it was time to say goodbye to it. I have a very sore face and the anaesthetic is making me feeling weird, but I think all will be for the best when it’s healed.

Can’t say I have achieved much. I made another little bird-adapting the original pattern and thinking of further variations. This little fellow is grey velvet with copper coloured silk extremities.

And this morning a little snow fell, dusting the lawn and setting off the palm tree. I love the juxtaposition of snow and sub tropical plants.

I love the colors on this bird, Judith… copper is so lovely. Sorry about your tooth, I did the same thing last fall, not a fun way to begin the new year! Pamper yourself a bit!

Poor you – hope the mouth is feeling better by now.
Don’t gardens look pretty with alight dusting of snow – like icing sugar on mince pies.

Owwwww! Having lost a tooth last year you have my fullest sympathy. I was surprised how painful and long the after effects were :(

However, it does look like you’re making the best of things with your flock of birds :)

Hope you feel better soon and feeling able to come out and play!
