windmill 2

Just played with watercolour this morning- it seemed appropriate for a windmill in the fens. The colour of those sails popped up on Emma’s lovely blog today too.

This looks so soft and misty… love it very much!
what a lovely, delicate watercolour. I adore windmills and windfarms, (think I may be in a minority there though) I find them so hypnotic.
Oh lovely Judith – it looks misty – that windmill is often swathed in mist. Do you know I think those sails are white really – you must have captured rare moment when the light was just right to generate that colour. I have a watercolour I painted of it whilst a student in 1994. I am going to dig it out. If I find it I’ll send you a snap via email. Thanks so much for the kind mention.
like a dream landscape—perfectly serene
I am very fond of wind farms and wind turbines too! I know how many people think they are unsightly, but in the right place, they are great. And before long we will need all the energy we can get from them!
I’ve always enjoyed seeing your watercolors, this one is just lovely… you and a brush get on nicely together
